Layne & Danielle's Wedding
David was in Layne & Danielle's wedding last night. It was in Dallas at a business park called The Atriums. It was very elegant. There was indoor waterfalls! The colors were black, red, and white. There was only about 50 people there. It's nice to have a quaint wedding. Danielle did most of the stuff for the wedding by herself. She is a regular Martha Stewart! David looked so dapper in his tuxedo. The ceremony was short and sweet underneath a white archway with Christmas lights. We had some drinks and milled around. Then, there was a plated meal of chicken and potatoes. It came with some random salad that was really good, but I have no idea what it was. The cake was white with coconut frosting and carrot cake. I got to try both, of course. They were yummy. We sat at a table with some really nice people. I never did catch their names, but we were talking about concerts all night. Then it was boogie woogie time. Time to make our exit. It was a very fun time.
The flower girl twirling around.

Layne & Danielle's Wedding Shower
Layne and Danielle held their couple's wedding shower at Danielle's mom's house in Highland Village. We got there just as it starting raining. She has cooked a great late lunch for everyone of brisket and potato salad. There was a rum punch that was great! We played some shower games. I won the word scramble. That is the first shower game I have ever won! David was a trooper and let me dress him up in toilet paper for another game. He looked darling. The last game was a dice rolling game. Everyone won a toothbrush as a gag gift.

Dress Shopping
While my parents were here, my mom and I went wedding dress shopping. We were accompanied by Tommie (David's mother), Coffy, and Jodi. We went to David's Bridal, Circle Park Bridal, and Eastside Story Bridal. All three stores were great. I found a dress I liked at each one. Tommie took pictures. I am very grateful for that. I couldn't decide so i had to go home and think about it. I finally picked one at David's Bridal. It is strapless, floor length and ivory. It has a pattern of three stripes or ribbon. It's very light and will work perfectly for our wedding. We went back on Sunday to buy it. I bought 2 veils and a headpiece also. One veil is cathedral length. The other has a pencil edge. Both of them have little pearls on them. My first fitting is Tuesday. I am not going to post any pictures Tommie took. But here is a link to the dress: Dress # T8972.
Yesterday, I took a trip to the Grapevine Mills Mall with David, Layne (a groomsman), and Danielle (Layne's fiancee). It was a super wedding shopping day. We didn't get much for David, but I completed my wardrobe. I bought some pearl jewelery (fake), shoes, and a rehearsal dinner dress. Danielle picked out her Bridesmaids dresses and Flower girl. They are very classy. David is going to be in Layne's wedding in November. They are both getting ideas for tuxes or suits.
