Valentine's Day

We had an interesting Valentine's Day. We had reservations at Texas de Brazil in Addison. That was my first mistake. Addison was so packed. When we walked in, we were nose to nose with everyone else in the place. We had to push our way to the front desk. When we got there the lady said they were running 45 minutes late on reservations. As Jerry Seinfeld would say, "you know how to take the reservation, but you don't know how to keep the reservation." So, David ripped the lady a new one and we left. Good times. Other couples left with us too. We followed one to Outback Steakhouse. There was a 2 hour wait there. We went to BJ's across the street. There was an hour and a half wait. At that point, we figured we would just go home. On the way there, we passed a restaurant called La Hacienda. We decided to go in and we sat right down. The food was good. We got the "Sweetheart Special." It came with a dessert, but we didn't need it. (That does mean we didn't eat it!) David bought me a cake for Valentine's from a bakery in Uptown. It was so good. It had the consistency of mousse and a wonderful chocolate espresso flavor. He also got me some flowers. What a sweetie!
