Aubrie's B-Day

Last weekend we went out for Aubrie Wolff's 25th birthday! A quarter of a century old! It was my weekend to work, which sucked, but I can't miss a birthday. After work we got all dolled up and went to El Norte. Misti and Mereena joined us, which was a rare treat. Then we went to Pete's Dueling Pianos in Addison. We got there after 9 PM, so we had to sit over by the bar again. But that's okay, I prefer to stand. The shots were flowing like wine. We had Jager bombs, test tube shots, lemon drops, and other random stuff. I can't even remember what songs they played. I remember "Jack & Diane" and "The Eyes of Texas." Then we went to Zen to watch Richard DJ. No rump shaking for Dorian this time. And I think Aubrie is off alcohol until the next birthday. Surprisingly, nobody got sick....except for Bryan. But good times anyway!

Dinner at El Norte.
Ready to rock at Pete's Dueling Pianos!

Jager bombs, yucky!

Test tube shots, yummy!

Dorian is so strong! Bryan is not amused...

I'm just holding them for a friend. Did you really think they were all mine?

Coffy's B-Day

After many mind changes, we went to Mena's Tex Mex Grill for Coffy Reece's 33rd Birthday. It is in Carrolton by the Toni & Guy Hairdressing school. You would never really notice it, but Coffy had been there once before. It is a very cozy place and they don't take reservations. So, it took them a little while to get us a table for 9. Especially since 15 showed up. But that is okay because they had a good bar. I got 2 Mojitos and they were only $7 each. The food was good too. Apparently, I was taking pictures like a Japanese tourist. (But they will thank me for it later!) The owner was very nice. Unfortunately, we didn't get to sing the "Happy Birthday" song and embarrass Coffy. That is always my favorite thing to do!

Gearing Up For Another Season

The summer softball season was okay. My team, The Rec'n Crew, ended up with a 2-6 record. That wasn't as good as last year's record of 6-2. We had a lot of bad luck with sickness and bad ump. John got sick and that left me as a manager. I can write down a line up, but other than that I'm no manager. We had to forfeit 2 games. One due to lack of female players, the other Paul got removed for no reason. Tim ended up hurting his shoulder in that same game. But fall season is right around the corner. Things are looking up. We have a few new people on the team. Our schedule should be out in about a week. Come watch us at Heritage Yards in Plano. The games are at 7, 8, or 9 PM.
