Hurricane Ike

Up north in Dallas, this hurricane was much ado about nothing. We were even "on call" as a shelter. But all we got was rain and wind. And it wasn't even very strong. I find myself getting really excited for rain around here. Maybe it's because of the ridiculous heat. When I lived in the Seattle I used to dread the rain, now I love it!

Galveston and Houston got their butts kicked. It's going to take a lot of time and money to repair the water damage. I didn't know anyone down there though.
