COP Football Pool
So this year I got talked into being the Carpenter Park football commissioner. But it won't be very much work because we are doing it online. That is the only way I would do it. Anyway, the deadline for registration is Wednesday, 9/3 at 5 PM. The cost is $20 this year. Everyone is invited! We are using Yahoo. The website is: http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/pickem. The group name is COP Football Pool. The group ID is 35967. Email me for the password.

Are You Ready For Some Flag Football?
Last night we went to go see Tommie's flag football team play at Hoblitzelle Park. Stephanie, Coffy, Sandy, and I went out to dinner first. We were going to eat at the Palm Cafe, but it had closed down. So we ended up at Boston's. The food and service were horrible. I don't really think I would recommend it to anyone. The game started at 8 PM. It was so cold and windy! I was prepared with blankets and jackets. Bryan met us there. Tommie's team ended up losing. I don't even know what the score was. It was a fun and different way to spend the evening.
I wish I would remember to bring my camera to our outings lately. I guess that is what happens when you get made fun of for taking too many pictures!

Lifeguarding & Football
For now, everything is going according to plan. I finished my lifeguard training Sunday. One of the instructor comments on my Child CPR was "kicked butt." The other instructor thought that meant I kicked the child in the butt. Because that sounds like something I would do. Teehee. Anyway, today, I am going to Collin County Community College to sign paperwork to work at their pool. I didn't think it would be this easy to find a lifeguarding job. Now I can get off my feet and get to bed earlier.
I missed the Super Bowl because the training ran late. I picked the Bears. Mostly because Steve told me he was picking the Colts. Turns out they lost. But I still came it second and won $55.

Football Finals
We are almost to the end of the football season. My goal was to at least make it to 3rd to last in the work football pool this year. We changed it up this year and added a head-to-head competition along with the point competition. The head-to-head yields more money to the winner and 2nd place. I made it to the end of that competition with Steve. He is super competitive. If I lose this I will never hear the end of it. So, I need help! He already told me he is picking Indy, who are 7 point favorites. If I pick them and they win the tie breaker will be guessing the score of the game. So, should I pick Chicago or should I try to guess the score of the game? What do you think?
